Coach Willis Holliday
Founder/Head Coach
Coach Willis Holliday is the founder of Holliday Hoops, one of the nation’s premier basketball player training and development organizations. Coach Holliday has invested over 20-years of developing athletes at various levels of the game, including collegiate, middle and high school.
Coach Holliday has served as the head women’s basketball at North Greenville University. He has also worked as an assistant coach at Georgia Southern University in addition to serving as the strength and conditioning coordinator for that program.
In 2001, Coach Holliday had the privilege of being an assistant coach to the USA High School Olympic team in Munich, Germany.
Coach Holliday currently coaches at St. Mary’s Catholic School where he is the head coach for both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. He has found great success on the court as head coach of the Ducks, racking up five state championships on the girls team with eight conference championships. Prior to coaching at St. Mary’s, Coach Holliday put together an impressive resume at Siloam Christian School, racking up a 68-7 record in five seasons. Coach Holliday graduated from Georgia Southern University where he played basketball and had the opportunity to lead his team to the NCAA tournament 1987.

Coach Edquan Pope
Head Coach/Assistant Director
Coach Edquan Pope has been the Assistant Director of the girls’ and boys’ basketball program for Holliday Hoops for over 12 years. Coach Holliday has been developing student athletes at various game levels for over 16 years both in basketball and other athletic endeavors.
Coach Pope graduated from and played for Claflin University’s Men’s program where he later went on to serve as a graduate assistant coach.
Coach Pope also currently coaches and is the Physical Education teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School. He has served 9 years as an Assistant Coach, and 3 years as Head Coach of both the girls’ and boys’ basketball team where he has led the teams to 2 Senior Girls’ Championships and 2 Senior Boys’ Championships. Coach Pope is also the Track and Field Head Coach at St. Mary’s.
Prior to coaching at St. Mary’s, Coach Pope served as J.V. Head coach for Greenville High School and as Head Coach of the Tanglewood Middle School Boys’ Basketball team.

Coach Tony Washington
Assistant Coach
Coach Tony Washington has been an assistant coach for Holliday Hoops since 2013 when he assisted with summer camps..
Tony Washington was raised in Greenvile after moving from Detroit at the age of 5 years old. He played middle school basketball at Beck Academy under the direction of Coach Willis Holliday. Following middle school, he went on to play at JL Mann high school until his sophomore year. He was then awarded a scholarship to play at prep school Miller School of Albemarle where he had the opportunity to play other prep school teams and practice in front of college coaches whenever the school had "open" practices.
Tony received offers to play at many top college programs including Auburn Univerisity, University of Southern Florida, and Maryland. He ended up accepting a scholarhip with LaSalle University where he played all four years of his college career. Washington finished his four-year career at La Salle with an impressive 61.0 field goal percentage. In the summer of his college years, he would return to Holliday Hoops to help young players develop their fundamental skills through summer camps. Following college, Tony played professionally overseas for three years in the Netherlands, Slovenia and Ukraine.
